Access to The Castle and Facilities

The Castle welcomes people with particular needs and always aims to offer you the very best facilities to help make your visit a success. The Box Office will be delighted to tell you more on 01933 270 007. There are discounts on most Castle-Promoted (CP) events (except films) for disabled people. Your companion pays nothing.

For Vision Impaired Users

The following free service is available thanks to Northamptonshire Association for the Blind and the Wellingborough Talking Newspaper: BRAILLE, TAPED OR LARGE PRINT INFORMATION CAN BE ARRANGED BY CALLING THE BOX OFFICE (Please call in advance - 10 days notice is required)

"Seeing & Hearing" guide dogs are welcome. A bowl of water can be provided for all guide dogs.

Wheelchair Users

There are ramps and lifts to all areas, adapted WCs on each floor and reserved parking close to the building. Passengers can be set down at the main doors. The Box Office and Jesters Bar & Brasserie counters have a lowered section to make life easier. There are ten spaces for wheelchair users in the Main Auditorium and a minimum of two in the Studio. Early booking is advisable. To enhance your safety and to comply with fire regulations, we request that wheelchair-users bring a friend or companion with them.

For the Hard of Hearing

Infra-Red Sound Enhancement is available in the Main Auditorium and The Studio Theatre. Headsets are available from the Box Office but should be booked well in advance.
