Overview
In the North America of the future, each of twelve districts must choose one girl and one boy between the ages of 12 and 18 to compete in the annual Hunger Games - a brutal fight to the death broadcast on live television.
When her sister Prim is chosen to participate, 16 year old Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) volunteers to take her place. Now, if she is ever to return home, she must make impossible choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
